My favorite types of shorts!

9:51 PM

Paradise Shorts!
I love the shorts that make me feel like I should be at the beach... whether its pineapples, palm trees, or any other fruit, they are all so cute & uplifting! I picked these up from my work (Shop 112), for only about $29 bucks or so. I love the vibe they give and how they are light-weight and breezy! I feel I should be drinking a piƱa colada in these babies.
Pom-Pom Shorts!
Whether they are little pom-poms at the end of the short or fringe, I'm defiantly digging this style for summer! They add such a unique look to the short that makes them fun and flirty. I snagged these from my work for about the same price as the ones above, they are also in black and come with a matching tank!
School Uniform Short
When I wear these I feel like I should be wearing a navy blazer with oxfords, they have that school uniform skirt vibe going on so I would label these as "preppy" if you want to go for that look. These are so comfortable and I love how they look like a skirt when I am wearing them, but they are shorts (So no worrying about the wind bringing them up)! I picked these up at my work, again, Shop 112, for about $30 bucks or so. I also love the pastel pink color, perfect for spring.
Two-Tone Slit Shorts
I was actually gifted these for my birthday by my manager at work, she picked these up at Target and they are so fun and different! They have a two tone design and a slit between both patterns so they are very versatile and easy to move around in, I love that about them... comfort is key! These are around $16.99 or so and right now Target has a tone of these type of shorts in a a variety of colors, patterns, and designs.
Patterned Pockets!
Again from Target and such a fun design, these shorts are two toned also but no slits. I love though how the (faux) pockets have a different design from the shorts, very different. Perfect for that boho look to sport this summer with some gladiator sandals!

This past weekend.

11:28 PM

{work photos and fake laughs..haha}
{meeting my friend Josie's niece, Kaylie, such a sweet precious baby!}
a sweet, sweet customer happy with out customer service surprised us with lemonade!
Thanks Raquel!!! <3 p="">
{observing kiddos + therapy animals at the Harlingen library}
{...AND while in Harlingen, I had to stop by the Forever 21 and found these babies!}
{a great start to a week with beautiful RGV weather ::thumbs up::}

Aside from my weekends ALWAYS being filled with work, I also have a ton of school stuff to do as the semester comes to an end, ::cough:: 3 research papers ::cough::, so my time has been spent A LOT at Starbucks typing away! My weekend began at work of course and finally meeting my friend/coworker Josie's niece, who I had been anticipating to meet for a really long time now! She's a perfect little baby, who I even got a smirk out of, sweet, sweet little thing! Also had a chance of meeting an amazing customer from Houston who specifically drove all the way to the 956 to shop at our little boutique (Shop 112)! Such an amazing, sweet customer, who I had a pleasure of meeting (she always shops via phone call), so it was nice to be able to help her and assist her with her fashion needs as well as her first time in our store! She also surprised us girls with customized lemonades! yumm :-*  Sunday, I took the day off work to do some observation hours for my animals in rehab class, and drove over to the harlingen library, and got a chance to see kiddos interacting with dogs, as well as learn to read. It really takes the stress off reading for them, because they think they are reading to a dog (who may be listening?) but they really enjoy reading to the animal and they read really great! It allows them to learn without the pressure and the ease of an animal by their side (it's proven animals lower our state of stress as well as blood pressure). So that was really great to encounter. While in Harlingen I stopped by the Forever 21 at the mall there, because I really enjoy the shoe selection at this Forever 21, the one where I live lacks a shoe area, so it was a must I stopped at this one. I scored these amazing sandals that look great and feel great too! I'm scared I might not take them off >_< Well, it's the start to another week, and we were blessed to begin the week with the weather in the 70s!! After yesterday being like 95 degrees, today felt amazing and what I feel is going to be a good week! Have a great one guys!

It's hard to believe summer is around the corner [like, aren't we still march]?! I'm feeling the laid back look lately, simple colors, basics, maybe a splash of color here and there, but definitely a comfortable wardrobe. Here are a few things I'm digging and hopefully can get my hands on (that donut tee!) so I can sport this summer. What are some things you will be wearing this summer?

On A Tuesday . . .

10:18 PM

So Tuesday I was feeling a little under the weather with a minor case of a sore throat, nothing to bad, but my body felt a little weak, and tired, so after my intern job, I decided to take the day off early around noon, and didn't go to my evening class. Instead, I spent the day with Elias, it had been a while since we had a whole day to ourselves, so that was nice. We started the day off watching "Fast Seven" which was pretty good, action packed, and watery-eyed toward the end.. nevertheless, I enjoyed it. After the movies, we went out to an early dinner at Cheddar's, then spent the rest of the evening together. On my first picture, lately I've been into the cartoon, "Bob's Burgers", I enjoy silly humor, and this one is for sure that, with short episodes, I always catch one while quickly eating lunch, or dinner, before studying or going back to work, so I get a little entertainment. I also finally jumped on the 'Birkenstock Sandal' trend and purchased these babies from Old Navy today (not tuesday), and they are very comfortable and simple, so I really liked that about them, and they didn't make my feet look too chunky, I realized some of the version of these sandals are bulky, and big, so my small feet look larger than they are in this style. Luckily, these fit great and I enjoy the simplicity, so buying them was a must. I can't believe it's already Thursday again, I've been drowning in research papers lately, luckily the end of the semester is near, which is both scary & relieving, but now it's time to give it my all and finish strong! Hope y'all are doing well readers :o)

Easter Weekend!

10:22 PM

oh what a weekend! Last week was literally a hectic week for me, so hectic, I had to trade with someone at work on Saturday, just so I could have a day off! Lord, knows how long it's been since I had a day off, so my body was literally shutting down and telling me to slow down, breathe, and take a day off. So that's literally what I did. I wish there was sun on my day off, but it was a chilly, cloudy, breezy day. All I know is I need some sun soon, because I can feel my body craving the warm touch of the sun on my skin! My body is defiantly telling me I need some vitamin D! Lots of family time this weekend celebrating Easter and all with my dad & mom's side of the family, it was really nice, and I hadn't seen my family in a couple weeks, so it was nice to be reunited again. It's the last month of the spring semester {how??} and the pressure is definitely kicking in, 3 research papers all due at the same day is making me extremely nervous and stressed, but all I can do is start now! I registered for my LAST TWO CLASSES of my undergrad degree and boy is it was great feeling, can't wait to graduate! Till then though, a lot of papers, and intern hours to do! ::sigh:: by far the hardest semester of my college degree. Hope all is well for you reader, and you are in good spirits :o)
